Původ této odrůdy můžeme hledat ve Francii. Dříve byla známá pod názvem Burgundské. Víno je s výrazným odrůdovým buketem, jemnými kořenitými podtóny a plnou extraktivní chutí. Má zlatožlutou barvu, někdy s vyšší intenzitou.
Víno doporučujeme k výraznějším úpravám masa a k tvrdým sýrům.
